In 1958 Brera district was not as popular as it is now. No banks or boutiques, but a plenty of food shops and baker’s boys whistling on their bikes. However, it was indeed the artists’ district.
Today as yesterday, Brera has its own pace: in a city "to drink and to eat". In this district time is a value, the rhythm of the every-day life slows down and nature, culture and economy can live in harmony; it remains an unbroken identity resisting to the transformations of the last years.
